Economic analysis

Many market analyses and business development plans estimate the number of square feet of various kinds of retail space a district can support. That’s fine – but we look at things a little differently: We estimate the dollar volume of new commercial sales we believe a district can realistically absorb, of course – but our first priority is to help existing businesses absorb as much of that as possible.

We consult traditional data sources like ESRI and we incorporate special methodologies to measure local traits often not reflected in standard sources or analyses - things like tourism, commuters, office workers, ethnic enclaves, or cash economies.

We like to involve the whole community in the market analysis process and we like to disseminate information widely. We have found this builds greater support for outcomes and strategies. We take our research seriously, but we try to make the process fun.
